When you visit us, you can expect to receive a warm welcome. Many will introduce themselves to you so that we can get to know you.
Someone will probably ask you to fill out a visitor's card.
We are simply Christians who believe in the authority of the scriptures. All that we do in our work and worship, we
find authority for in the inspired word of God.
Reading of Scripture
Like the examples before us by the Bereans (Acts 17:10-11) and Ezra (Ezra 7:10), we will examine the scriptures together.
Singing Praises
Just like the first century Christians we read about in the Bible, we will sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Eph 5:19) without the use of instruments.
Praying
We petition our Heavenly Father (James 5:16).
The Lord's Supper
On the first day of the week, we partake of the Lord's Supper as Jesus instructed (I Cor 11:23-29).
Preaching & Teaching
On Sunday mornings there will be gospel preaching (Acts 20:7) which is designed to convict and encourage (II Tim 4:2).
Our sermons strive to apply the Bible to everyday living.
On Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights, we have bible classess for all ages.
Giving
The members at Skyview will give to God from what he has provided us (I Cor 16:1-2). Visitors are never asked to give. You may if you would like to, but it is never expected of our visitors.
And whatever you do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of (i.e. by the authority of) the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father - Col. 3:17
